This is the first draft of my magazine advertisement for my digipak project.
I thought I would show you an example of a real life maagzine advertisement for Rihanna's album 'Loud' they have similar conventions to the ones I have used for my advert.
These include;
- Date of release
- Image of the artist
- Name of the artist
- Name of album
- Bold text
- Different coloured text
I am not entirely happy with my first draft of my magazine advertisement. I will be making changes to this to create a better second draft, below is a list of the things I am going to be changing;
- Fonts - I want to mix the fonts I have used up, I realise that the current one I have used is quite dull as I have used it for every piece of writing on the advert
- Font colour - I may decide to change the font colours on my advert if I think that they look more appropriate for my video
- Image - I do not want to change my advertisement image altogether, however I will be editing it to give it a more suitable effect for my style of music video
- Exclamation marks - I have came to a conclusion that exclamation marks seem to make the advert look more like it is showing off a pop music video whereas mine is more of an indie style
- Font size - I think I will probably change the sizes of the fonts I have used, I have already used various sizes so I know that they make the advert look more interesting, I just feel that I need to make them more obvious
- Date of release - After looking at my advertisement, I have decided that the text where I state the release of my album needs to be a lot bigger and therefore more eye-catching
- Overall I think I need to make certain aspects, such as the '9 brand new songs' hook more prominent to the reader using bolder and different coloured fonts
